Choochies

Pacifiers, Binkies, Choochies, Corks, no matter what you call them, for some children they are a must. They are more than a must for Bryce, they are her saving grace for nap time and bedtime. That is the only time that she is allowed to have them. That is until the day that needs to come very soon, and we say goodbye. I am dreading that day, as I have seen it happen many times with niece's and nephews. But for now, enjoy and find comfort in your choochies, Boo boo!
For the last 5 weeks while I have been in bed, cooking this little Bean Sprout, the mornings have been following a new little routine. It starts with the sound of the door opening at the end of the hall, it is then followed by the sound of two happy, energetic, very rested little feet, running down the hall. Then, the blond hair, blue eyed child stands in the doorway to take a quick glance to see if Daddy is home, and then says her first words of the day, "morning Mommy!" while her choochie is still hanging in her mouth. With hands as full as they can be, a mountain of choochies is then placed safely in my bed, and that blond hair, blue eyed child is off to the ice chest which Daddy has packed for us for the day. She then gets her cup of milk and makes her way back to the bed, piled with the mountain of choochies. That is when, the separation for the day begins and the choochie that was so carefully placed in her mouth to bring her comfort, is then removed. That one little choocie is then added to the mountain with the others, only to be touched and pinched while she enjoys her cup of milk. Then we get ready for the day and the choochies are placed back in her bed, for the next chance to bring security and comfort to the blond hair, blue eyed little child.

Just for fun, here are some of my favorite choochie pictures from the past.
